Criteria

To be considered for the Sheila Busheri Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Academic Status: Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student on a medical career path or a student in an accredited medical school.
  • Essay Requirement: Submission of a thoughtful, original essay (maximum 1,000 words) responding to the following prompt:

Essay Prompt: “How do you envision utilizing your medical education to improve healthcare access or innovation for underserved populations, and how has the career of a healthcare leader like Sheila Busheri inspired your professional goals?”

  • Professional Goal: A demonstrated intent to join the medical profession and contribute to the growth of the healthcare industry.
